Hawkeye is constantly ragging on Frank's skills as a doctor, but he does seem to respect Margaret quite a lot as a nurse even if he dislikes her as a person.

Yeah, and that fades a bit more as seasons go on. Certainly towards the end, I'd consider Hawkeye and Margaret friends who respect and like each other, even if they don't agree on attitudes to authority and the military.
