Yes, exactly! Looking back on my first impressions of the show is so funny to me now, because I was suspicious of Meng Yao from the start and didn't let myself get invested in Xiyao while I was watching, but instead of vindication after Guanyin Temple, I just felt terrible for Xichen. I feel like I've gotten progressively more invested in giving them some measure of happiness ever since.
*dramatic sigh* Why must our taste be so SIMILAR and GOOD. :P

But seriously, I'm so happy I found your journal, as I've read so many good fics thanks to your recs. I'm glad I've been able to return the favor a few times as well.
