Juwon can't stop staring at the wet imprint of his boot. It's a good print. Clear ridges, firm pressure, hardly any smudging. His mark all over Dongsik. Someone could use it to catch him.

Dongsik looks up at him, his smile perched just at the corner of his mouth. "Try not to think so loud, Juwon-ah," he says. "You're off duty, you know?"

He's spent the better part of the last year trying to figure out what he wants. Penance, atonement, absolution.

K-pop RPF Fanfic Recs

[Edit 12/2023 - I've acquired enough 'Bouncy'-inspired fic recs to start a post for them.]

ATEEZ released a new MV this month called Bouncy that was, uh, inspirational to say the least, especially Choi San and Jung Wooyoung's little boxing AU (interspersed throughout, but especially prominent from about 0:40-1:10 and 2:10-2:55), and especially when they described their characters like so:

Wooyoung: I don't care if San loses or gets beaten up by someone. As long as I can make money using him.

San: (the concept is) I'm a fool who only knows Wooyoung. It was written right there.

So that inspired my first dive into the WooSan tag on AO3, which helpfully served up multiple variations on the aftermath of the scenes in question. Here's several I enjoyed:

There's another type of ache shooting down San's entire being, one that he hasn't been able to tend to for a long time. There's no ointment or remedy for this.

San, coming off the adrenaline high of a fight, contemplates his feelings for Wooyoung.
