Sorry this is a few days late, I had the draft of my 2024 fic reading stats almost ready to go on Jan 1 and only had to add in a couple final numbers, but I wasn't as prepared with my Dec recs post and in between holiday stuff and spotty internet, I didn't manage to put it together in time.
Anyway, here's some of the fics I enjoyed in December:
MCU
Wow, this fic really feels like the end of an era. It's the final fic in the popular 4 Minute Window series, which has been running since 2015. I haven't kept up with the series the whole time, and was actually surprised when my friend told me that the series was coming to an end to realize how many stories I'd missed since the last time I read it, but this was a nice bit of closure for it: a prequel, in fact, about Bucky finding and fixing up the place on Coney Island Avenue. Bucky putting himself back together post-Winter Soldier with the help of home repairs has always been one of my favorite genres.
Endgame: 2014, Steve Rogers/Bucky Barnes, 5k, general audiences
Enchanted Forest Chronicles
I haven't poked around in the Yuletide collection as much as I want to yet, but I enjoyed this one:
interregnum, gen, 1k, general audiences
Happy reading!

He couldn't live for himself, but he could live for Steve.
Enchanted Forest Chronicles

interregnum, gen, 1k, general audiences
With its King trapped in the castle and its Queen and infant Prince moved outside of its boundaries, the Enchanted Forest settles into an uneasy quiet.
Over weekly lunch meetings, Telemain and Morwen discuss magical theory.
