May 2025 Fanfic Recs

forestsofpineOriginal fiction reading of the month included The Amalfi Curse, by Sarah Penner, which was fine, but not amazing. Maybe a little blander than I feel like a story about Italian sea witches ought to have been. Gorgeous cover, though.
And here are some of the fics I enjoyed in May:
The Pitt Fic Recs
People kept recommending The Pitt on HBO, so I checked out season one this month. I can't say I came out with any super strong fannish feelings, but I did enjoy it, and poked around the fic on AO3 a bit to see if anything could persuade me on any of the ships. This Abbott/Mohan slow burn was my favorite so far:

K-pop RPF Fic Recs
Loved the banter in this one. Also, I want that sandwich, omg.
