MDZS ships I want to read more of

Lan Xichen
I really love Xichen despite his flaws and it breaks my heart how broken he looks after Guanyin Temple. I ship Xiyao, NieLan, and 3zun, but even if he never loves so deeply again, I do want him to at least be happy. I've heard that MXTX once said he would probably marry a woman post-canon to produce heirs, and hopefully he could find contentment with her if he does, but not being super into OCs in general, I think it's more fun to think about his relationships with existing characters.
Also, I watched CQL first and if there's a heterosexual explanation for this moment, I really haven't heard it. 😂

Unfortunately, I've always struggled to get into Lan Xichen/Jiang Cheng and I think post-canon Lan Xichen/Nie Huaisang would be angstier/darker than I'd usually be interested in, but I am oddly intrigued by the idea of Lan Xichen/Wen Ning. I 100% understand if the fierce corpse aspect is a squick for people, but I just think Wen Ning, who's suffered so much and remained kind through it all, might be a comforting presence for Xichen post-canon, and hopefully vice versa, too, since Xichen would be in a position to offer Wen Ning the comfort and security he's lacked for most of his life (and afterlife). I've already recced a very sweet Lan Xichen & Wen Ning fic (And green the ground below, 5k, G), and it's both a friendship I'd like to read more of and one I could see potentially see turning into love. Lan Xichen & Song Lan and Lan Xichen/Song Lan intrigue me for similar reasons.
The other thing I really want to read more for Lan Xichen is just exploring his platonic relationships with other characters more. For example, I've always thought that Xichen genuinely liked Wei Wuxian during the Cloud Recesses study arc, despite the turmoil he was causing for Lan Wangji and Lan Qiren, and am always interested in reading more Lan Xichen & Wei Wuxian fic exploring how their relationship grew and changed from their first meeting to post-canon. In addition to the platonic relationship, I'm also intrigued by the idea of post-canon Lan Wangji/Wei Wuxian/Lan Xichen, but that's less a "ship I want to read more" and more a "ship I wish people would write more" since I'm already in the second or third round of this 😅
I'm also really interested in exploring more of Xichen's familial relationships with Lan Sizhui, since I headcanon he helped raise him, especially while Wangji was in seclusion, and Lan Jingyi, who has some lovely interactions with Xichen in anyway, here's wuji (Lan Jingyi/Lan Sizhui, 18k, T) that left me wanting more.
Jiang Yanli
I feel like I haven't read nearly enough Yanli-centric fic for any ship. I finally started to like Jin Zixuan/Jiang Yanli just in time for the shit to hit the fan, but I'm also interested in reading more fix-its and canon divergence scenarios where Yanli is either betrothed to someone else, or married to someone else after her betrothal with Zixuan is broken off. Maybe Lan Qiren snaps her up for Lan Xichen, or Nie Mingjue makes an offer to help strengthen the Jiangs after the massacre of Lotus Pier. How would those change things? I'm also potentially interested in threesomes for Xuanli; there's a Jin Zixuan/Jiang Yanli/Luo Qingyang fic I've got on my To Read list in particular.
I've enjoyed several fix-its, including the Marriage Principles series (Wangxian & Xiyao, 38k, E) and An Elegant Solution (Nie Mingjue/Lan Wangji/Wei Wuxian, 205k, E), where Jiang Yanli & Jin Guangyao's relationship is an important part of the story and her kindness is one of the factors that encourages him to use his talents for good, and would be very interested in reading more of those as well.

Lan Wangji is pretty fixated on Wei Wuxian, so I've never been that interested in shipping him romantically with other people. I've made some forays into angsty Lan Wangji/Jiang Cheng set during the timeskip, occasional detours into Jadecest and Lan Wangji/Wei Wuxian/Lan Xichen, as I mentioned above, and a smattering of other threesomes with or without Wei Wuxian, but that's about it.
I am, however, a card carrying member of the Give Lan Wangji Friends Association (Founder and President: Lan Xichen), with a few options I want to explore more being Jin Zixuan, Luo Qingyang, and Jiang Yanli. I'm also up pretty much 100% of the time for more Lan Wangji & Jiang Cheng fics, whether they're having a petty bitch-off with each other à la canon or somehow managing to get along.

Jiang Cheng/Wen Ning - a ship I read one really good fic for (it may be that it doesn't matter, 6k, T) and now want to read more.
Jiang Cheng & Jin Guangyao - co-parents! How DID raising Jin Ling together go?
Luo Qingyang & Jin Ling - I hope that post-canon she visited Jinlintai sometimes and got to build a relationship with her friend's son.
Nie Huaisang & Jin Guangyao - I feel like I've never read enough fics about their relationship during Meng Yao's time with the Nies
Wen Zhuliu/Yu Ziyuan - I thought there was chemistry there, and am interested in the backstory of both characters

I don't want JGY to be a saint, I feel like he should still be allowed to murder the truly horrible people, but I want him to be happy with LXC above all that. (Or if it's a modern AU, I want him to be scheming and petty and vicious, but adore LXC and protect him above all else. I think the best example of that is probably Meng Yao vs the Homeowner's Corporation, because we get that pettiness and we also get JGY and WWX being great friends/Brothers-in-laws/gremlins married to good Lan boys.)
If you can think of any that worked especially well for you, please feel free to toss them my way!
It took me a while to come back to this, because I don't remember titles well and I never keep a good list of recs. I mean, I found links to YouTube vids of Xiyao and xicheng as a love triangle and my favourite vid of jin ling and jiang cheng, but it took me like an hour to find the story I was thinking of. Post-canon, with a wonderfully brusque JC voice that really captures that cranky yet caring vibe.

Yes, exactly! Those big eyes and dimples make him a very tempting woobie for some people, I guess, but he's so much more fun when he still has his claws, imo.
